Welcome!!! This is our little gang… From the left is Blue, Sadie, Cronus, Nemesis, Pyro and Stella.

Sadie was our first show dog… Our first American Eskimo Dog was purchased from a pet-shop while we lived in Pennsylvania. Percy was a wonderful dog and made us all fall in love with Eskies. Unfortunately, Percy suffered from numerous health issues. Shortly after we moved to the Seattle area from the Philadelphia area our local vet said that he would be surprised if Percy made it past Christmas. So… We began our search for another dog to keep us company in our new home.

We contacted many breeders in the Washington and Oregon areas. We were finally referred to a breeder in Salem that recently had a litter. We contacted Mary Ellen Eichelberger (AWD American Eskimos) and let her know we were looking for a female. At the time we were not too concerned with show potential as we were mainly looking for a healthy puppy. After we had Sadie for a couple years we met with Mary Ellen again. When Mary Ellen saw her she was shocked at how she matured and she tried to convince us to show her. We kept telling Mary Ellen “we’ll think about it”. We honestly did not think that we would be the ‘type’ to show dogs.

Well… We finally agreed to 1 show…

At our first show, Sadie won Best of Variety and our son Josh won Best Junior Handler… We were hooked…

We now own 6 dogs, 5 that live with us in the house and 1 that we co-own. All of our dogs are currently being shown in both the AKC and UKC rings. Blue, Cronus and Pyro are UKC Grand Champions. Blue and Cronus are both AKC Champions. Pyro is pointed with a major in the AKC rings. Sadie and Nemesis are both UKC Champions. Sadie is pointed in the AKC and Nemesis is pointed and has both her majors. Stella started her UKC show career in Chehalis WA on 3/25/2008 and earned all 3 competition wins and 98 points her first weekend showing, she only needs 2 more points to become a UKC Champion. Stella has not started her AKC show career yet.
